A radio serial number is a unique code printed on your radio unit that we use to generate your unlock code. It is not your vehicle registration number and it is not your VIN number (unless specifically stated on your product page).

The serial number is usually printed on a white label on the top or side of the radio, or displayed on screen for certain models (for example some Ford units by pressing buttons 1 & 6). If the serial is on the label, you'll usually need to remove the radio to access it.

In most cases, yes. Radio removal keys are inexpensive and easy to use. We recommend watching a quick video guide for your specific vehicle before removing the unit. Removing the radio correctly does not damage your vehicle.

We cannot generate codes using a registration number. VIN decoding works in some cases but only if the radio is the original factory-fitted unit. If the radio has been replaced, we'll need the serial number instead. VIN-based decoding is not instant and may take up to 1 hour.

If the serial number is entered incorrectly, the generated code will not work. Always double-check your serial before placing your order. If you're unsure, you can send us a clear photo before purchasing.

If you are unable to provide a video, or if you obtained a code for the same serial number from another provider or a dealership before purchasing from us, we will require a copy of that payment receipt showing the serial number and the different code supplied. If decoding work has already been completed using the serial number you provided, a refund may not be possible. Always double-check your serial number before placing your order.

In rare cases certain radios cannot be decoded due to internal modifications or previous recoding. If we are unable to supply a working code for any reason, you will be refunded in full.

Before contacting us, please confirm the serial number you entered matches your radio, ensure the code was entered correctly, and do not add extra digits. If it still doesn't work, send us a clear photo of the radio serial label and a photo of the screen showing the error message. We'll investigate immediately.

This usually means too many incorrect attempts were entered. Leave the radio switched on continuously until it allows another attempt. This can take between 30 and 120 minutes depending on the manufacturer. Do not repeatedly switch it on and off.

This varies by manufacturer. Most radios allow between 3 and 10 attempts before becoming permanently locked. If you're unsure, contact us before entering multiple codes.

This is completely normal. The anti-theft system activates when power is lost to the radio. Your radio is not faulty. You simply need your radio code to unlock it again.
