How to find your Opel serial number

The guide below will show you exactly where to find your Opel radio serial number.

Turn on the ignition and radio. When it asks for a code, enter any wrong four digit number and press OK. Do this three times.

The screen locks and shows your Serial Number (seven digits), Device Number (ten digits starting 7612) and Date. You need all three for your code: enter them exactly as shown, keeping any leading zeros.

The radio stays locked for up to an hour. Leave it switched on with the ignition on and enter your code when the countdown ends.

Opel Vivaro / Movano from 2014 (Visteon)

This radio has a display with BROWSE and OK knobs and buttons 1 to 6 underneath. It does not show the serial on screen, so you need to remove it: put release keys into the four corner holes and slide it forward.

You need two numbers from the label. The serial is the barcode number of about 11 characters, for example 03RAI4I0182. The part code starts with 281 and ends in R, for example 281152752R.

The radio is made for Renault and uses a Renault serial. Release the trim surround with a prying tool, undo the screws and slide it out.

The serial on the label starts with 2811 and ends with a letter and three digits. The label in the photo reads 28 115 2957R T W255, so you would enter 281152957RTW255 with no spaces.

Older radios start with 8200 or 7700 instead. Enter those the same way.
