How to find your Ford serial number

The guide below will show you exactly where to find your Ford radio serial number.

Release the radio from the dash
Use a flat prying tool or trim removal tool to carefully release the surrounding trim panel. The Ford Figo radio is a single-DIN unit, remove the two or four screws on the sides and slide the unit forward out of the dashboard.
Read the barcode from the Visteon label
Step 2, Find the serial on the label
Read the barcode from the Visteon label
The yellow Visteon label is on the side or rear of the unit and reads Made in Visteon Automotive Systems India. The barcode at the top of the label starts with VC followed by letters and digits, for example, VC0AKZ13211068 or VC0AKR15444117.

Enter the complete barcode exactly as printed. Do not shorten it or enter only the last digits, enter everything including the VC prefix.

Why is my Figo radio asking for a code?
The radio lost power, usually a flat or disconnected battery, and locked itself. It is standard Ford anti-theft behaviour and the code puts it right in seconds.
What serial does the Figo radio use?
Most Figo units carry a Visteon barcode serial starting VC on the label, for example VC0AKZ13211068. Enter the whole reference and we handle the conversion to your code. Some units show a V or M serial on screen instead.
Can I get the serial without removing the radio?
Try holding buttons 1 and 6 with the radio on, many Ford units show the serial on the display. If nothing appears, the VC barcode label is on the radio casing, which means sliding the unit out.
How do I enter the code on a Figo?
With the radio showing CODE, press preset 1 repeatedly for the first digit, preset 2 for the second and so on, then press 5 to confirm on most units. Enter it slowly and double-check each digit.
What happens if I enter the wrong code too many times?
The radio shows LOCKED and pauses code entry. Do not disconnect the battery, that does not help. Leave the ignition and radio switched on for about an hour and it will accept the code again.
