How to find your Fiat serial number

The guide below will show you exactly where to find your Fiat radio serial number.

Continental units use an A2C or A3C serial
Continental (A2C / A3C / BE)
Continental units use an A2C or A3C serial
Release the trim surround with a prying tool, remove the mounting screws and slide the unit out.

The serial starts with A2C or A3C followed by up to 19 digits, or with BE on Becker-type Continental units. Enter the complete serial including the prefix.
Daiichi units use a short serial Daiichi units use a short serial
Daiichi (2016 to 2019)
Daiichi units use a short serial
Some units fitted between 2016 and 2019 are made by Daiichi. Remove the unit to access the sticker label on the casing.

The serial is short, either numeric (for example, 12345) or a short alphanumeric (for example, c1234).

My Tipo is nearly new. Why is it asking for a code at all?
Even recent Fiat radios carry the factory security lock. Any power interruption, including a battery change under warranty service, will trigger the code request.
The serial on my Tipo label is very long. Do I enter all of it?
Yes. Continental serials starting A2C or A3C can run to 19 digits and must be entered completely, including the prefix.
My Tipo has a short serial like c1234. Is that right?
Yes. Tipo models fitted with Daiichi units between 2016 and 2019 use a short numeric or alphanumeric serial. Submit it exactly as printed on the label.
My Tipo has the touchscreen Uconnect system. Is that covered?
Screen-based Uconnect units use a different process. Contact us with a photo of the label on your unit and we will confirm before you order.
