Use PC5-132 release keys in the four corner holes and the unit releases forward. No wires need to be disconnected.

The serial is on the sticker on the casing and starts with BP followed by 12 digits, or 815CM followed by an alphanumeric string.

The Stilo is over 20 years old now. Do you still decode these?
Yes. The Blaupunkt and Bosch units fitted to the 2001 to 2010 Stilo are fully supported and decode from the label serial like any newer Fiat.
What does a Stilo serial look like?
Either BP followed by 12 digits on Blaupunkt units, or 815CM followed by letters and digits on Bosch units. Both are printed on the sticker on the casing.
The CD player is broken but the radio works. Does the code still apply?
Yes. The security code protects the whole head unit regardless of which parts of it still work.
Is it worth coding an old Stilo radio rather than replacing it?
Usually yes. The code costs a fraction of even a used replacement unit, and a replacement would arrive code-locked to its own serial anyway.
