How to find your Becker serial number

The guide below will show you exactly where to find your Becker radio serial number.

Label only
Remove the unit and find the AR number
These navigation units do not show the number on screen, so the unit has to come out of the dash. Release it with a pair of radio removal keys and slide it forward. No wires need to be disconnected.

On the label on the casing you are looking for the AR number, printed in the format AR2270017429/01. It is a longer reference than a normal radio serial and it is the only number that decodes these units.

Which cars and units does this cover?
The Becker BE2580 navigation units, built with a Siemens navigation computer, fitted to Porsche, Alfa Romeo and Lancia. If your unit is a BE2580 with built-in navigation, this is the right page.
Why do I get two codes?
These units are locked in two places, the navigation computer and the radio, so they need two codes to fully unlock, a navigation code and a radio code. We supply both. A standard 4-digit Becker radio code will not unlock a navigation unit on its own.
Where do I find the AR number?
On the label on the casing of the unit, printed in the format AR2270017429/01. It does not show on the screen, so the unit has to come out of the dash. Removal keys make this a two minute job and nothing needs to be unplugged.
I have a plain BE2580 radio, not a navigation unit. Is this the right page?
If your unit has no navigation and shows a normal short serial, you want our standard Becker page instead, where the code is cheaper and instant. This page is only for the navigation units that need the AR number and a pair of codes.
How long does it take?
These are decoded by hand from the AR number, so delivery is within the estimated time shown at the top of the page during opening hours, Monday to Saturday, 8:30am to 4:30pm UK. Orders placed outside those hours are done the next working morning. Both codes arrive together by email.
My radio is locked after wrong attempts. What should I do?
Leave the unit switched on and the lockout will clear on its own, usually within an hour. Do not keep trying codes while it is locked. Once it accepts entries again, enter the codes we send exactly as shown.
