The guide below will show you exactly where to find your Jeep radio serial number.

Use a trim prying tool to release the surround panel, then unscrew the mounting screws and slide the unit forward. You do not need to disconnect any wires to read the serial number.
Find the T-series serial on the label

Find the T-series serial on the label
With the unit out, look for the serial sticker on the side or back of the casing. The serial starts with T followed by a second character. Common examples include T00AM, T00BE, T19QN, TVPQN, TZ1AA and TH1AA. Note the full serial exactly as shown on the label including the prefix.
Continental A2C Serial
Continental unit. Find the A2C serial
If your unit does not have a T-series label, look for a sticker starting with A2C. This is the Continental VDO unit. The serial is typically 18 to 20 characters long and printed on the label on the casing. Enter the full A2C serial exactly as shown.

Does this work on all Grand Cherokee generations (WJ, WK, WK2 and WL)?

Where is the serial on a Grand Cherokee?
On the side or back of the radio unit, on a sticker. Remove the unit to read it. The serial starts with T, such as T00AM, or with A2C on Continental units.
What is the difference between a T-series and an A2C serial on this model?
Most units carry a T-series serial on the sticker. Some 2005 to 2012 radios use a Continental serial starting A2C instead, 18 to 20 characters long, and the A2C sticker often sits on a different face of the unit from the T-series label. Enter whichever serial your unit shows.
Does it cover the Trackhawk?
Yes. The Trackhawk and all other Grand Cherokee trims are covered, as the radio code is unique to the head unit.
