To get the serial, first try hold buttons 1 & 6 together, this will make the radio cycle through information.
The radio will display a "V" followed by 6 digits, for example V197905.
If the serial is not clearly showing on-screen, check the last 7 characters to see if there is a "V" and 6 numbers.
If the serial is still not showing move to the next step.
Try holding pre-set buttons 2 & 6 together, the radio will display a "M" serial number on-screen.
If the serial does not show, please follow method 3 to get the correct serial.
Removing your Ford radio requires no technical ability. All you need is radio release keys (PC5-132). These inexpensive tools are inexpensive and are available at from Amazon.
Push the keys into the holes in each corner of the radio (See image), apply a bit of pressure and the radio will free from the dashboard. (see our radio label examples for help locating the serial)
