Radio Code from VIN Number
In some situations, a radio unlock code can be retrieved using your vehicle’s VIN, provided the radio is the original unit installed by the manufacturer.
The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a unique 17-character combination of letters and numbers used to identify the vehicle. It is commonly located on the lower corner of the windscreen, on vehicle registration documents, or on a label inside the driver’s door area.
VIN based radio code recovery is not always possible. If the radio has been replaced, upgraded, or changed at any point, the vehicle identification number may no longer match the radio. In these cases, the radio serial number will be required instead.
Important: Radio code requests using a VIN are not processed instantly. All checks are handled during business hours and usually take up to one hour to complete.
