Non è necessario scollegare alcun cavo. L'unità scivolerà in avanti quanto basta per poter leggere l'etichetta.

Il numero di serie è riportato su un adesivo posto sul lato o sul retro della scocca. Tutti i numeri di serie VW iniziano con VWZ e sono composti da 14 caratteri, ad esempio VWZ1Z2H1234567 o VWZ5Z7L0496236.
